Summer Youth Theatre Programs - Virtual Classes

Unlock Creativity and Let Imagination Soar!

Maraya Performing Arts is thrilled to offer an exciting new summer theatre program for young artists. These dynamic courses are led by respected working professional artists whose goal is to demystify the theatre making process and introduce skills that are essential to building the actor’s toolbox. Each student will experience the joy of performing while sharpening the necessary skills to grow as an artist. Come join us for an unforgettable summer of fun and theatre!

Maraya Performing Arts is pleased to launch its Virtual Summer Youth Theatre Programs (SYTP).

All are welcome to join the fun! No audition required. All experiences levels welcome.

Two separate (2)-week sessions will be offered for middle school students entering Grades 6-8, and high school students entering Grades 9-12.  If a class is offered outside your grade level, please contact us to discuss. We are open to explore options according to varying maturity levels and interests.

  1. Session A will occur on select weekdays July 6 - 17, 2020.
  2. Session B will occur on select weekdays August 3 - 14, 2020.

Course instruction has been designed to optimize student success for virtual learning.

Classes are offered on either Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for 60 minutes or Tuesdays and Thursdays for 90 minutes.

Teaching Artists will assign exercises for students to work on independently and use the virtual course time for lecture, feedback, and sharing.

Single drop-in classes are not available.

Each course is priced individually at $120 each. We are trying to keep class sizes small (10 - 15 students) to maximize student success. Sorry, there are no sibling or other discounts offered at this time. We are committed to ensuring our classes are accessible and equitable. If price is a barrier to participation, please contact us, we are happy to help.

*For each session, a culminating GUEST MASTER CLASS (offered for all ages) will be offered by renowned experts in the field. If you have registered for at least one SYTP course, you will have member status to purchase each master class for only $5.00 for your entire family. The master class fee for each individual outside your household or any drop-ins would be at the non-member rate of $25.00 per household. Be sure to register separately for these guest master classes too:
