Hip Hop & Contemporary Musical Theatre Summer Program for Young Artists Ages 6-18:

We understand that parents are looking for ways to help their children safely ease their way back into extracurricular activities.

Maraya Performing Arts’ summer programs provide young artists, ages 6-18 with 3 hours of daily creative learning opportunities and lots of time for social interaction and team building.

Students will emerge with confidence, independence, and compassion for themselves and others through the performing arts!

Maraya Performing Arts is thrilled to offer an exciting new summer hip hop + contemporary musical theatre program for young artists. These dynamic courses are led by respected working professional artists whose goal is to demystify the theatre making process and introduce skills that are essential to building the actor’s toolbox. Each student will experience the joy of performing while sharpening the necessary skills to grow as an artist. Come join us for an unforgettable summer of fun and theatre!

Class offerings will be include diverse offerings that will mix each week including, but not limited to the following courses:
* Shakespeare to Spoken Word Poetry
* Rapping
* DJ-ing
* Breaking (Break Dancing)
* Hip Hop Fundamentals (Dance)
* Contemporary Dance
* Fundamentals of Leaps and Turns
* Music Theory
* Drumline Beats
* Voice Technique
* Character Practicum
* Monologues
* Acting for the Camera
* Audition/Casting Tips & Tricks
* Master Classes from Industry Professionals in TV, Film and/or Broadway! (TBA)

YOUTH (Ages 6-12)
TEENS (Ages 13+)

Weekly summer youth theatre programs will occur from July 5 to August 20, 2021 (Monday-Friday (9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.). Half-day programs occur Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and each week will have a different variety of the aforementioned subjects.

After-care and tutoring will be available as an add-on from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (for an additional price per child/per hour).

Full schedule with times, dates, courses and teaching artists will be announced by April 30, 2021. Mark your calendar now! 🙂

The cost for each week is $295. A two-week session is $550.

If you book for multiple weeks, you will receive a discount of $25 off per additional week.

Limited class capacity due to COVID and social distancing protocols. Masks and clear face shields are required to participate in class. All classes occur in-person at our new studio that has both indoor and outdoor studios.
